We’re excited to announce that we’ve just completed a major milestone in our reforestation journey! With support from Nepal Evergreen and in partnership with Mountain Lodges of Nepal, we have successfully delivered 2,000 fruit trees to 25 local farms in the village of Landruk (1,565m) 🌳✅
Our volunteers supervised the planting process and collected soil samples at each site, as part of our long-term effort to monitor carbon levels. This data will help us estimate the carbon benefits our reforestation and sustainable agriculture projects can achieve across all planting sites. 🌍
Famous for its majestic Himalayan views, rich Gurung heritage, Landruk is now leading the way in community-led climate action, driven by retired Gurkhas and eco-conscious farmers.
🌳✅Tree Varieties Include:
Lemon, Orange, Mango, Guava, Sichuan Pepper, Fig, Peach, Bamboo, Kiwi, Apple, Pear, Mulberry, Coffee, Walnut, Cardamom, Banana, Macadamia, and Pecan.
This project is more than tree planting — it’s about restoring ecosystems, strengthening food security, and empowering Himalayan communities through sustainable, science-informed action.
