2021 – 10,000 Fruit Trees Planted in Nepal

Nepal Evergreen : Before

At the end of November, Juniper Trust volunteers in Nepal, distributed 4000 fruit trees to 600 families in Nepal’s Kinja Valley, reaching our target to distribute and plant 10,000 fruit tees by the end of 2021. The saplings, a mixture of Walnut, Peach, Plum, Pear and Apricot, were ordered 6 months ago from nurseries in the Kathmandu Valley. They will provide fruit and nuts for up to 25 years. We hope to raise the bar for 2022 to distribute and help plant 20,000, including 10,000 to for three new orchards in the Solu Khumbu. This very worthwhile initiative has had an incredible positive response in Nepal. They send a heartfelt dhanyabad, thank you to everyone for their much needed support.
