2022: 2 New Televisions for Askole School

The Juniper Trust raised £600 to purchase two flat screen TV’s for Askole School in the remote Karakoram Mountains of Pakistan, many hours by jeep from the nearest town, Skardu. Despite being the gateway to the Baltoro glacier and the popular trail to Concordia and K2, the village itself is very poor and, due to its remote location, fairly neglected by the authorities. Ali, the headmaster, travelled to Skardu to purchase the TV’s, the return journey took over 12 hours due to heavy snow.
