2022: 20,000 Fruit Trees Planted in Nepal

The success of the first 10,000 saplings planted in 2021, inspired The Juniper Trust to set an ambitious target of planting 10,000 or more fruit trees every year until 2030. In 2022, the organization distributed 5,000 saplings to farmers and local households, and another 5,000 to an organic farmer looking to develop an orchard to benefit the community. The trees were a mixture of Lemon, Mandarin, Nepalese Alder​, Nepalese Alnus​, Avocado, Guava, Java Plums, Papaya, Walnut, Apricot, Peach​​​ and Pear.
