April 2024: Shelters for the 2023 Nepal Earthquake Victims

In November 2023, a catastrophic 5.7 magnitude earthquake struck Jajarkot District, Karnali Province, Nepal, claiming 153 lives and injuring over 375, including children. Survivors had to endure freezing temperatures in makeshift shelters throughout the winter.

The donation from the Juniper Trust facilitated the construction of 5 out of the planned 60 semi-permanent shelters, which have now been completed to house many of the families that lost their homes.
