Ishkoman Valley in northern Pakistan, close to the Afghan border, is a remote and culturally rich region where multiple languages are spoken across neighbouring villages.
During a recent visit, we met Ayub Khan and saw the work of the Ayub Handard Foundation, supporting local communities — including the Gujur nomadic people — through education and sustainable projects.
We visited schools and met teachers, students and community leaders working to improve opportunities in the valley.
Funding remains limited. The Juniper Trust and individual donors are helping, but more support is needed. We are now exploring ways to expand funding and awareness, including a dedicated campaign.
