We’re thrilled to celebrate the successful distribution of 1,500 lemon trees to farmers in the Nuwakot region, located about 75 km west of Kathmandu. Once the historic capital of the Kathmandu Valley, Nuwakot now benefits from our sustainable agriculture initiatives.
Thanks to the region’s ideal subtropical highland climate, these trees thrive, providing a sustainable source of income and nutrition to local farmers. We have already had our first harvest from lemon trees planted in 2021, completing the cycle from planting to income and sustainability for local communities.
