In November 2023, a catastrophic 5.7 magnitude earthquake struck Jajarkot District, Karnali Province, Nepal, claiming 153 lives and injuring over 375, including children. Survivors are enduring freezing temperatures in makeshift shelters. Initially, temporary relief was provided, but now the focus is on building permanent shelters for 200 families. The Juniper Trust, with Suman Pandey and dedicated volunteers in Kathmandu, aims to raise $3,000 to construct 10 shelters, accommodating several families.
